The darkest color on the guy kinda breaks it. Lovely work on the planet, however. 

 Whoa, this is beautiful.

I think, of the challenge entries, this one is closest to Galt's original in both composition and color. I like that the one red dot is interpreted as a meteor, and I like the ribbon-clouds.

The planet looks awesome, and I think you nailed it in terms of the whole piece. That's definitely what I see from Galt's art 

Yes, definitely a bit more contrast, but otherwise I'm almost certain this is what Galt had in mind.

 I love the planet. And some extra contrast and perhaps saturation would really help this pic.
