The pose is slightly stiff - the legs are nicely splayed, but then the torso doesn't continue the arc and goes purely vertical with the arms supporting this idea of stiffness. Otherwise it's a very lovely piece.
Great use of the limited palette here. I'm less concerned with the gender of the character than I am with the chinese-style garb and decidedly western weapons, though. There are references available for female samurai, as they did exist, and some had great historical impact. Check out Tomoe Gozen or Nakano Takeko if you're interested at all...
Lovely, great palette use!
A bit noisy in places maybe (fg rocks, cape design), and I'm disturbed by the eye highlight.
beautiful perspective, it´s like a film and it seems an action before the combat, great work!
I think it's innitially not that striking, but the more I look at this the more I like it. The way you've constructed the scene making the most of the palette is fantastic, instead of phoning it in and doing clouds or solid colours for the background.
very cool use of colors! red and blue would usually clash, but here they go along very well!!!
