Basicaly yes, but also the size. Because of pixel-perfect precision used in pixelart it is suggested to use very little canvas size (like 64x64) and very big magnifying (8x, 10x) so it would be not so hard work to make every line clean and change if anything wrong.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that I these didn't qualify. I am guessing the anti-aliasing brush in Paint.net is what disqualified them?

Cool ships, remind me of Twin Bee a bit, but it is not pixelart. It is called digital art or CG.
