This is a piece I did for my girlfriend.  I loves her lots.  This was done in the "Fibonacci Faces" challenge style.  I received a lot of inspiration to do this work out of my math class, believe it or not.  Leonardo Fibonacci studied patterns in nature, and found this sequence of numbers he named after himself.  The sequence was as followed: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13, and so on.  The sequence reconstructed itself from the sum of the prior two numbers, so 2 came from 1 and 1, 3 came from 2 and 1, and so on.

So that's where the 2, 3, 5, and 8 color sequences came from that are used in each quarter of the piece.
