It ends fast because he has to get the gun up. I don't think it starts fast, maybe it's unexpected, but why would he waste time?! :D Well, it's not a completely finished thing anyway. I'd still need jumping running etc.
I think if you made it a couple frames longer, its not thats its not smooth it just starts/ends to fast. btw love it!
