If you did this from your head and havent used reference then...wow, I would fave it, but me not like rock stars too much.
Very nice! It looks very good when you zoom once. I like the preview aswell :) 5*
Sterner Regnix, Frankly, when I searched poses for a picture composition, you did not know that this is a group. A link to the original has not saved. Then I sketched the whole picture in pencil and worked with her. And the pictures taken up the Internet landscape. Saxophonist I do not remember where I got. It seems it was a statuette. If you find the original, be cool:)
Think you pixel pushed a little more than just the pose! As a Slash fan and huge GN'R fan in the 80's & 90's the face still looks like him, unmistakable...I can't see ANY change from the reference picture...it IS him...and Yes GN'R had a saxophone player (but she was female).
As I said in my comment, I like the picture, even though this is obviously slash from that reference picture. Any reason why you didn't show the ref?
Sterner Regnix, yes pose I pixel from this man, but no face. I vanna make the selfportrit. And I do not remember saxophone in G'n'R :) Then I say — It's not real band :) If I painted a Christ with the sitter, it does not mean that he was Christ. And vice versa.
"It's not real band. Just my vision of jazz players."
Sorry Dude, this is clearly Slash from Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver fame!
Here's my...sorry your ref:

It's still cool though!
DreamRunner, It's not real band. Just my vision of jazz players.
It is simply amazing. Absolutely can't get how it only got 6th place, it should be in top three.
Amazing that you managed so much detail while still sticking to the restrictions! Awesome job!
@Carnivac: I'm pretty sure he's referring to one black being in the "dark" set of colors and another being in the "bright" set, not that there's actually a different shades of black.
Anyway, this piece is freaking awesome.
Great pic though the words 'bright and dark black' just irritated me. Black is black surely. As dark as things can be. Any brighter and it's gray.
I could tell it was Slash from the prieview....it's cool, gotta love the specy palette.
Love ZX pics. So vibrant colors!
Composition is quite good, and the amplifier is perfect. Agree on the arm (e.g. cyan could still go a little down, sleeve a bit more damaged) but the blue on the face is the best choice, just black looked like part of the face was missing.
Oh and that magenta on the back of the saxophone player's head looks a bit off. Maybe dither it?
quite nice zx-job, it cool seeing a wip with that restrictions.... the guitarists face looked better without the blue imo, arm could need more work
Holy shit.
I'm sorry, I don't think I can be more constructive than that. This is amazing.
Very vibrant! Good stuff.
