My not-so-scary interpretation of the Grim Reaper.
My aim with this piece was to work with a small palette and to avoid dithering. I had started this previously and got distracted with shading and ignored form. I ended up with so many subtle colour variations it became not fun and looked horrible. So, inspired by Delicous, TomF & sedgemonky's galleries I started fresh and decided to limit myself to three gradients and 14 colours. This is the result.
I'm just starting to learn Grafx2, so I bounced between Photoshop, Grafx2 & Deluxe Paint IIe. Deluxe Paint was only used for colour manipulation as Grafx2 seemed to have a few bugs in that department. |
vlad61: I was really going for a very thin look to him/it/she a la Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas. And the head isn't attached to the body simply because I thought a neck wouldn't add much to the design but clutter. The legs also aren't attached. :)
