I agree about the lines but just the top ones, I'm OK with the bottom ones. BGs like these always look good. They scream pixelart.

I agree with snowk, it would have been nicer without the top and bottom lines.

One of my friends says it reminds the Megaman X backdrops

quite peaceful. only crit: the lines on top and bottom are a bit distracting. 

I like it, has his own mood... and the palette is just great.

Awesome work.  It kinda reminds me of those Hannah-Barbera cartoon backdrops.
