oh, forgot the head! i'll redo it once it has been accepted or not. not quite sure where to put the eyes though..
this is better, but not noticeably so unless you see them side-by-side. the shape of the head is still very awkward and square, the eyes are places at a strange place on the head, and the body is stubby and short. contrast on the snake could be higher and hue shifting would help the palette.
Curves are not that hard, You just need to follow 4Pixels 2Pixels 1Pixel. Here is some help.

@yaomon17 I do have trouble on the curves, it's antother thing I need to learn. Thank you, I'm glad you like the sand because it took me a long time :)
I think you need to work on the basic line art first to make it a bit less clunky using proper curves. I like the sand though.
I will work on it tommorow and make a thread. The reason I don't like posting WIP threads is because I only get 2 replys and then the thread is dead :| Thanks again though
can't say, but if it's dubious, submit it to the WIP forum and we'll help you guide the piece to your desired goal. I think the crits I've provided below will make a good start, maybe try applying a few of those things and start a thread.
Thank you for commenting :)
I have no idea how to do correct AA, I must learn eventually I guess. I was sort of aiming for the 'cute' look of the snake, and yes, I definetly agree on the factors on the snake that I could make more interesting. Do you still think this piece will get accepted? Hopefull it does, because I need more crits! Thank you, cure :)
the way you've shaded the snake doesn't show that it's a three dimensional object, it's just a gradient with no respect to the form of the snake. think of it as a curvy cylinder. choose a distinct light source and shade the snake accordingly (keeping it's 3d structure in mind, the light will hit some areas harder than others, where as there should be shadow where the walls of the 'cylinder' curve under and away from the light source). Also, google references of snakes, this one is rather chunky (and not particularly long and rope-like) with a strange, square-shaped head and small eyes. a forked tongue, open mouth baring fangs, scaly texture, etc would also make this a much more interesting piece. alsoalso consider adding a dropshadow so the snake interacts with the background rather than just floating on top of it. As a final note, beware of jagged outlines and maybe even try some anti-aliasing here and there.
less to the front of the head, more to the sides. google!
