And yes, the darker PG in the fourth panel was on purpose. I think I had plans to add more decorations to make it more obvious, but for some reason chose not to. I don't remember why.
I love the composition. Like the clouds at the bottom flowing into the other panels. And the style you portrayed to me is like anime mixed with a sort of emo/nightmare before christmas vibe. I can just hear some music playing to this.
ps: is the 4th panel's BG supposed to be darker?
