I like the colors but I dislike the style. Always found Dodonpachi to be an ugly game with a terrible style that seems to make everything look flat no matter how hard it tries to look three dimensional.
This art style is totally awesome; the perspective and the simple, 3Dish style are greeat. I would love to see the game when it's finished.
Wow. That's a cool design and a frightening boss, especially when those massive chambers fire lasers.
I like the stripes on the spaceship's surface, but I'm confused by the other rectilinear details. Are they meant to represent seams in the metal surface? If so, then they should be given some subtle shading because now those shapes look like they're simply painted, like someone applied a camouflage pattern to the ship. Certainly a ship could be painted, but with bright colors and slick stripes (to make it look cooler) and not in camo (because that makes little sense; nothing will hide a behemoth like that).
I must agree, the colours are too washed up. And yeah, meaby you shouldve done a bit more details and random decals for the carrier. On the other hand, youve done a good job mate!

Those engine compartments are actually for large laser beams. As far as the mirroring, it was purely for style and speed of cranking out sprites. This took about 15 hours to complete (which i think is still far too long.)
As far as the coloring goes, It was drawn in greens and ended up like this. They are easily changed, as they will be in the final version of the game. Im just amazed it only has 30 colors as my pieces normally end up in the hundreds.
Awesome design, but I'm not a fan of the colors. They're a bit too washed out for my taste, but it's still an excellent piece. 4/6
I was shocked about the size of this. Would have been nice to see a bit of variation from left to right.
Even when dealing with the common car, you have unique landmarks from one side to the other such as the gas cover or the radio antenna. Maybe a missle bay or some random damage on one or both sides. Another thing that could have been done was to take the engine compartments a bit further... you know, instead of being just a solid color. I get the feeling that this one isn't quite finished or perhaps you just got bored with it. Considering the size and all I can only image the amount of time you sepent on this. With that said, its still pretty awesome to look at!
You did mention this was for a game, so I'm assumming that the Engine effects and damage and stuff would be implemented making this a pretty epic encounter.
