yar, the hair would come round her neck at the back, but i got lazy at that point, and yea i had noted the fact tht her one eye didnt show her eyebrow and i shall fix it for ya hehe :P
as for the colors and realism, this was the look i was going for, i wanted to make it as simple as possible yet still retaining realism aspects... ^_^

 If you're going for an "contour line" look, then yeah, it's great. Otherwise, the dark lines defining the nose and chin are really bothering me. Shadow really shape a face -- I don't think you have enough darks under the chin, on the other side of the nose, in the eyesockets, on the dark side of her head, etc. to make that face look real. Come on, you did it right there, on the groove above the lip.

P.S. I can't find the eyebrows. Are they under the hat? (panic)
P.P.S. Is you're friend's hair up? you can make it come around over her soulder. I would look awesome, in my opinion. Either side would work as long as it makes an 'S' shape.

Nice portrait, skin shading looks good, the hat without shadows works fine to me, im not so sure about the cross around her neck, maybe if you add her shoulders.., white outline looks cool. I think she should be happy with it.
