"Oh yeah. Now I remember. He's incredibly evil, isn't he?"
Q: How do you make an anciant god laugh?
A: Give it ten tickles.
The textures you achieve with dithering are awesome.
Just one thing... I would have called it... "Ten.. tacles"
I adore these colors <3 <3 <3 Beeeautiful, I can look at this all darn day
I always wondered. Do you use a tool to dither or by hand?
Wow, great work, very cute.
So nice colors
Wow, I liked this a lot.
loves this, love the colors and dithering style <3
Is it related to Cthulhu?
now I feel like a hack and a noob. wow this rocks!
that's a pretty cool image
The AA is sooo smooth. Jealous.
Wow... so smooth!
Stunning job, man!
i don't like the darkest center tentacle at all. doesn't have the flow of the other tentacles.
I'll throw my hat into the ring with
"To save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs."
Nice pic! Reminds me of Dawnbringers stuff.
@big brother & iLKke - Glad some people got the reference :D
iLKke, you forgot two exclamation marks though =P
Oh, why hello friends! let us shake tentacles!
...TAKE ON THE WORLD!
Awesome lighting, excellent job!
@skamocore - ahh, yeah, fair enough. I can see how it might look sloppy. It's probably a rather tricky effect to pull off with only 11 available colours.
Nonsense, it makes me feel great. Smarter, more aggressive. I feel like I could... like I could...
@James - I actually did have something like that for a while when making this, but after deliberating over it for ages, I eventually ended up ditching it as I thought it looked a bit sloppy. I appreciate the suggestion anyway though.
Really nice and atmospheric!! One suggestion I have would be to add a slight bit of light flare around the base of the central dark tentacle close to where we're looking directly at the light. So that some of the dark of the tentacle is a bit washed out.
Feels almost like it should have a soft border, but really nice regardless.
super great AA :DDDD
good as always mister!
@All: Thanks guys! I wasn't expecting such a response :o
@DawnBringer: Yeah, I know some parts don't flow that well. I guess I did have some trouble making the background both flow and have crazy dithering D:
@TKNy: There are actually a number of other smaller hearts (amongst other things), I assume you're referring to the hollow one on the left?
Nice! Very smooth, and I like the dithering in the backround very much! The heart in it is very cute :D
i like how you managed to squeeze a few hearts into the dithering
Very interesting. The dithering style employed is really cool, I've always been a big fan of it, and it's well done here.
ho ho ho, great job! Hot colors, sweet light... Fantastic!
I'd hang this from my wall.^_^
Totally cool! It looks like the noodly guitar god is awakening.
The range of colors your palette catches is beautiful. Also, I can see that you AA'd using reoccurring colors...Brilliant.
woo! lovely design and one of the best aaing ever
The lightest color going over the darkest one (bottom area of the piece) is a very very nice add to the whole greatness of the piece. Looks like a sun.
(also, those tentacles looks like guitar's fretboard, head and tuning keys!)
Some seriously lovely looking AA going on there!
real good! I love the dithering
The palette is really intense!
cool colors =)
Wow this is great, nice colors.
I usually hate the whole "dunno what to shade this like so I'll just put dots everywhere" style, but it works perfectly here. I love this.
Perfect AA, and lovely style of dithering and shaping.
Whoa! Intense! This is simply outstanding.
Loving how something so simple could look so beautiful.Great job.
