Yeah, on some level I agree with you but it's my personal opinion that pixel art should be simpler than PJ makes it out to be (look back to the days of super Mario bros and Pac Man) . Now I'm not shooting down your advice, the character could be cleaner, but I think that Pixel art should stay with its roots, and not become a sort of digital fine art like this site makes it out to be. No offence PJ 

 There's nothing wrong with really small work. . . but there is something wrong with small work that is simple or sloppy. You really do have to place every pixel with care, and I just don't think you've gotten there yet. I'm not trying to discourage you from doing work with a very small scale, but you should look at some other artists' stuff first, study up on what makes them good.
