This is great. I have one comment: the left side of the ax handle should start as wide as it is going behind the cat on the right. It makes it look like a toothpick right now. But thats being really picky. lol

You can definitely do this in 13 colours without having a white bg...

For example, the nose outline and the axe red could share a colour.

Keep in mind that transparency counts as a colour. So this actually has 14 colours. Have a look here.
