In before the challenge ends in 20 minutes. :0

I originally wanted to go for the whole "dog ate my homework"  cliche, but I found it hard to make my idea readable with the size restriction (wanted a book inside his stomache that says math or science or something like that).

Kinda wish animation was allowed. That might have been one thing that coulda given this some personality. :/

I'm glad I saw the challenge through though.

@Manupix: Thanks for the vote and the critique.  I had considered AA'ing the lighter tones but I felt that the colors I chose were barely noticeable so I decided to scrap 'em. Guess I shoulda stuck with my first instinct. :/

Funny and well done. You might have used 2 more colors to smoothen the AA between the lightest tones. Voted!
