At first I thought these were storm troopers =)) Nice one.
Yes, you're right Lizard, thanks. I corrected that. The picture didn't have transparency in the first version I uploaded.
Thanks for your comments; unfortunately I had to cut down the size of the image to make it usable as an avatar, which made the stuff the front row is carrying hard to read...now I'm wondering if I should give the horn and the signum a bright outline...
EDIT: Tried the outline, but it doesn't improve readability, so I'll just leave it the way it is for the moment.
Picture is now back to original size (100x100). I hadn't realized preview pictures can be used as avatars.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I think its that the floor is too busy with all the cobble stone, and that takes away the visibility of the centurions. Perhaps try just having a flat colour where the bulk of the soldiers are?
I can see what you mean, Psychotron, but the thing is that there is little room for variation what with the armour, helmets etc. As to the crowding: I'd be happy to try out any advice you could give me; maybe I'll just kick out the background and make it transparent.
EDIT: Did that; I like it a lot better now.
Individually the soldiers are nice, but the copy and pasting is less good than individually drawing them. Also, the piece is a bit crowded, hard to tell whats going on properly.
Actually I'm working on a star wars scene too. But it will take a long time before that is ready for release.
