Oh shit, I loved that game! Way to bring back a load of nostalgia. Nice sprites, too.
If you or anyone else you know is interested in teaming up for a CotW remake project, please let me know. Unfortunately it seems noone managed to accomplish this feat up to now, as if the game's cursed or something. =P

This is an amazing use of (imo) a difficult palette, I have a million things to learn from this.
I really liked CoW too, back in '95 I made an icon for a friend's character :)

Man, Castle of the Winds was the shit back in the days. I loved the fighting narratives.

The goblin fighter looks to me more like a plain goblin. Could be bulked up a bit.
Surtur is particularly cool. 
CoW is one of my favourites, I replaced all the icons in the executable back in the day but they died with a failed floppy.
