Jeremy: Yeah I wasn't going for bokeh (your amazing for knowing bokeh :D). As for the text, it was just made by rectangular blocks and then AA, (which I clearly failed at on some of the letters).
This seems a bit unfinished, especially compared to other stuff you've done.
Some kind of discomfort seems involved, hard to say what. Nice though.

I think that the hoodie(?) fluff bits could use a harder outline, they're not as detailed as the rest. Were you going for a bokeh-type effect?
