heres three screenshots from a game i'm working on called Cataclysm Apacolypse. the first is the map of a beach, the second is inside one of the huts, the third is of a cave on the side of the beach.

yeah, but the transperent/layered effect inside the game makes it look cool. so i decided to keep it.

In the hut it wouldn't make sense for sunlight to be coming in every window on each side of the hut.

probably... but then thats another layer of semi-transparent shadowness... the games already huge. 290-some megabytes.

Shouldn't the trees also be casting shadows?
