This is cool. It actually pulls my eye because it reminds me a lot of Evangelion, and the background items you'd see in Metriod Fusion. I actually like the colors and details. It makes this piece. :)

Something abstract is not grounded in realism as far as representation goes.
For example cubism is NOT abstract art.
Color Field Painting ala Mark Rothko is abstract for example.

no relation would be non-objective of non-representational, abstract has a relation in that it's an abstraction of something concrete. that's my understanding, anyway. maybe the terms can shift around.

surreal seems accurate for this piece though.

I guess macabre/surreal.

Absolutely... disturbing, but still an interesting work. Colour choice is weird, but goes. Rather good work man!

Nicely done, and it's unusual to see this kind of disturbing / grotesque designs with such colors.
