Very smooth sequence, but I can't agree more with Manupix. Perhaps you could look at other great works people have made and study how they use their color palettes?
well i am just starting out. thank you very much for the tuto and the review. i couldnt get the colors right. i tried and tried but thats the best i could get. but as i said im just starting out so i guess ill get better over time. as you said i did not re color the same frames but i used the same frames from the other leg as a reference. again thanks =D
Quite good if it's a first!
The arms and torso moves look good; the head looks a little static (might pivot a little as it bobs, and the helm visor could move independently). The main issue would be in the legs. Each foot doesn't stay on its own line, near the end of each step they move down: the result looks like you just recolored the same frames for both feet (which you didn't).
10 frames is possibly not the wisest choice. Check this tuto. As it is, it would need 2 additional frames (between 4-5 and 9-10) for the legs only; although I have no idea how it could not impact the other body parts. Also frames 5 and 10 are similar legswise, and 4 and 9 are almost similar.
The sprite itself has way too many colors, most of these rather dull. This should not need more than 16! And there are some stray bright pixels.
Really cool animation! The shading is too simple though. More texturing would be fine.
