Awesome, especially color choice!
Now what does this remind me of... ?
(maybe you could tone down the sky brightness.. it kinda hits me in the eye.)
@ Reo - I'll take that as a complement, but yeah, I know what you mean. This is a different style I like to play with. It helps me work on color combinations and artistic feeling.
@ All - Yes it is a bit messy and the lighting is off. And the water should reflect more of the sky color. I tried to play with that, but everything I did made it look weird. Always something more to learn.
You really need to up your technique man, the ability and motivation is there!
This is good, but it could have been great.
it's kind of messy, but still pretty badass. One of your best pieces i think.
Lighting issues aside, it's a nice scene. The color usage has impact. I do regret how unrefined it is, but on the other hand am glad it's not fully polished due to the fundamental errors with light.
Seems like only the sky needs fixed to rectify the lighting, but the sky's my favorite part.
Uh, yes.
Colors are sweet even if some of the pixelling is a little messy.
Nice with good atmosphere and you keep improving which is great.
Technically however you still seem to pixel as if you are painting instead of placing and 'pushing' pixels.
This is very nice. The pine trees are very well done. The sky is very nice and powerful.
I completely agree iMoose. The sky color would have been reflected exactly as it is on the lake. Lakes are usually pretty calm, which makes for a clear reflection of anything around them, depending on where you are standing at. Changing the color of the lake would be easier than that of the sky I think.
Those mountains are mighty.
If the sun is coming from ahead, shouldn't the shadows be casted the opposite direction? If so, that means the shading on the mountains could be fixed too, but looking at all the other places, it looks like the lightsource is coming from the top right. Kind of confusing. I'm just going to guess that's it's not the sun, and just a glowing sky.
The water should be a lot darker or be reflecting some of that golden light.
This is amazing. I love the style. But the body of water almost looked like a snow patch to me because it's so light colored. I think that at the very least it should be a little bit more of a bluer shade. However, it seems to me that it would make more sense to give it purple and gold shades, as those are the colors used in the sky (which, by the way, I also love. Makes it a lot more dynamic). Lovely work.
awesome and inspirating :)
