This is very nice I have to say. Love the trains, very cute.

But it is rather inaccurate as far as the colours go (the darkest grey is NOT darker than the dark brown colour on the C64)

Also as far as restrictions go this is quite off. In a game you would most likely use char mode, which is a lot more restricted when it comes to colours and such

 My mind instantly raced with the idea of a game where you tag trains in the yard and try not to get caught!  xD

Lovely :) I think there's some negative (black) space lacking, perhaps between the trains. AAA looks a bit like 444 too.
