very nice work ... I like face of the santa and hands with gloves also building sledge and clouds. Have some parts which are like put to fill some areas - star, canes. For me tree is very big like scale when I look at the building or the hole in the ground. Also can put more details, like example you see down part of the sledge and can't put some ties between different parts ets. Again, pleasure to watch that Santa :)
A fine job youve done, not including the flaws you said. I like the idea of that "bad-santa".
Great finished product, but man you should really advance your pieces as a whole, there's so much wasted effor on the clouds behind the sled.
Also it's prefectly legal to submit older pieces to the challenge if you haven't posted them online anywhere, if I remember correctly.
loving the whole perspective and palette! amazing clouds
Just awesome. You out did yourself on this one. How long did this take you?
the clouds make everything else look decent. nice job on everything, lots of fundamental issues but eh what can you do, right? :)
Merry Christmas, man!
looks great but santa is way out of perspective according to the slay.
Sweet! The intense red works with great effect against that monochrome bkg. And I actually like the clouds...they do look a bit odd in the plain background..but the tree covers/breaks the weakest area.
Thanks everybody :D
@Manu: True. I'm unfortunately without a darker brown. As usual, what was intended to be the main focus detracts x__x
@ska: :))))
@Buddy+Jaker: but that would be dishonest :L Besides it's intended to be the fat man himself, albeit a bit more metal.
you know, if you didnt say you worked on this till november, you could have entered this in the challenge, and probably win too...
Soo nice!!
That *could* be a entry for the weekly challenge...
So, who said you suck at backgrounds? XD
I agree the sled persp is wrong, and in fact the sled has too much detail and kind of weighs the piece down. You might get away by making the underside darker and indistinct.
Merry Xmas to you too! Don't you mess with Santa ;)
I love the shading colors on the 'van'.
