Woah can't believe I've missed such Star Wars related awesome-ness, fantastic remake, fantastic anyway! Stormies, Vader and the Tiderian Shuttle all get extra thumbs up from me, and the 'hands behind their backs' of the officers, lovely pixelling ^^.
@ Kaiseto: I know, here at PJ is morbid anxiety about colors calculation and reduction. Many members can use just two colors to make their (mononochrome) arts. But I don't use my pieces in gamedev or something that limits colorcount, that's why I totally don't give a shit about it, pal.
I do "pure" pixelart, as I never use automatically generated objects.
I don't share this nerdish "colorcount" concern (probably yet ).
Dude, 283 colors is insane. There's no way you needed that many, and PJ Specs is showing a ton of redundant entries (particularly when it comes to blacks). The piece isn't bad as a whole, but for something that doesn't have an amazingly robust, diverse color scheme, going over 60 is totally unnecessary.
Thanks for your comments, pals.
@Gecimen: Perhaps you misunderstand the term "banding". Here are only two colors used to show the deph of the cloacks.
@Mathias: In the original movie in this scene there were glowing spots and lines on the flor.
@Mis-BUG: Thanks, pal.
@Neocrone: I'm glad that the pic has so excited you. )
@zi-double: It's a good idea about cables, but there weren't such objects in the original scene. I've tried to be maximum precise pixelling this.
Nice edit, My favourite parts are Dart and Empreror. Also another guards blue, grey ets. look at very nice. If you was add some interesting scene in back part and some cables or something interesting will be great, but and now I like work :)
Star Wars is my favourite movie ...
Oh my God! i am near to a heartattack! 1.: i love iso and 2.: i'm a real big starwars fan (i've seen every starwarsfilm about 20 to 50 times). i'll fav this!
For some reason this piece makes me think of Ultima 8.
You've made some bad banding on the imperial guards' (red guys) robes.
Excellent piece overall.
An amusing piece to look at. I know it's a bunch of copying and pasting, but it still looks pretty awesome. I love how you did their reflections on the floor.
I imagine him jumping on them koopatroopers... Great job, the relections is the killing detail!
