The sprites don't really reflect the little character that the characters posess..Curly's stance just isn't working for me. Might work for another character (lol Chaco) but it looks a bit odd. Quote looks a tad blocky too and seems to be done in a different style, but like you said, it's just a random doodle. Digging the shading and overall style though.
