This is very beautiful.
A great atmosphere and variety with just 8 colors, you are clearly a very good artist :)
We can make one experiment to show where is the problem and why never can make very clear and "fresh" work with manipulations /as for me is the idea of PA/. Easy example will be if somebody take "Room for one last project" from fool gallery /just because this work is very big have small colour pallette and will be easy/. Now make piece 4 times less. Use what you want like program, manipulations, ets. ! In the end look at the earth under statuettes and you will see what you have :) Can use and .jpg file 4 times less. Always in the end pixels are in a mess :)
... and again thanks for all comments and fav's, they have instigating impact :)
I think no, only we have to be honest with our level-interpretation of reality=what one does in Photoshop can do it in Pixel Art, even better, an example ;Kaiseto -great photoshop-but perfect Pixel Art. if you are photorealistic in Pixel art, in photoshop you have to be hyper realistic. Fool is better than a Photo, I mean; art is the interpretation of reality, not the rotoscoping,(ref are only ref not a scratch) Although it is good to study the real world, light, perspective, always practicing
Mathias: surely, you're not saying that attempting to achieve a semi-photo-realistic effect by means of pixel art is a bad thing? (not talking about this awesome, stylized piece, of course).
Yeah! It is isn't it? Just good honest well-met use of the medium. Just classic old schoolyness.
I do debate certain works as not being truly valid as "pixel art" because their execution seems to mimick some other medium, or would be better served as having been done in some other medium. But this, this be pixel art dead-out. True and true. Through and through. What's a boy to do.
I´m really agree with Mathias; This is a Real Pure Pixel Art. worked pixel by pixel. fav.
great stuff man, I love the small hue shifts in the palette.
yrizoud I also have that problem. In my home have very good contrast. In work this colour is distinguishable also. That is why I make more contrast version and ask for advice in PJ forum. This is the light version, but maybe not enough. I'm not sure. I'm test only 2 monitors :(
Thank you for comments folks ! This is the dark side and now I can continue with another light part of the work
One of the most fascinating 8 colors palette I've ever seen..
Nice job, the atmosphere are amazing. The details are cool too.
There's one dark tone (r=15 g=22 b=21) that doesn't seem distinguishable from black - but maybe it's my monitor, it's slowly dying.
Never mind that, RIP my trusty monitor.
I don't usually care for these sort of monochrome pieces, but the lighting and textures in this are really nice. Well done.
