You make some generelly mistakes.

I should elaborate. This is a house i grew up in. Google Streetview "26 8th ave sw, dauphin, mb"

The siding is vinyl, and in that color pattern.

zi-double: Should I not be using black outlines? Is it just the background that makes it look ugly? Or just generally do not use them?

More importantly, to get in the gallery you should probably get rid of the background.

Lineart look at good, but black outlines aren't good. Also need to specify light source. Also colours and contrast of the walls and roofs aren't very good and need more work to understand everybody that this is wooden building.
