I agree with Perihelion.  Looks much better at 2x, could use some cleaning, but overall you've really done a great portrait.

 Nice! I dig the expressiveness of this; the emotion really comes through. It's a little hard to make out at 1x, though. I'd recommend going back over it and cleaning it up, though. You can anti-alias the places where the darks and the lights meet on the face with that middle shade you have.

there's some grey in the face that should be dark blue. nice work, very readable
