Yeah I totally agree with you, I had heaps of fun with the hair, it was the first part i did, i just didnt know how to successfuly pull off the rest of the body :\

Looks pretty good for a first try. One suggestion I have- Not counting the black outline it looks like 7 of the 21 colors you used are just on the hair, which is by far the most detailed part, but her skin only ever has 2 colors. As a result, the hair is over detailed compared to the skin. Since the facial features are very simple, I think you should stick to a simple coloring method too and reduce the number of colors in the hair to about 3.
