I've bitched about the new Pokemon designs quite a bit, but now that I see this I realize that I really only miss the art style (deformed, feral, muted colors). Someone needs to make a hack of Red version with these sprites ASAP.

yeah it's a project between me and some other people from www.pokefans.net  not all of those sprites are made by me, we are about 7 people :)

but the sprites i've posted here are all made by me ( i think it's varying in quality cuz some of them are very old ans some other (like salamence, barujina are new)

i hope you guys can read this, my english is da crap :/

a lot of those seem to be of varying quality and look like they could have been pixeled by different people. the imgur image could be a collaboration of people spriting gen 3-5 pokemon, and this could be this person's set. just an idea, idk.

if these are yours, blak, they look nice. keep it up

The thing I always liked about the red/blue sprites was that they needed to use a lot of foreshortening and strange perspectives to squeeze those fools into the box they had.

good job with these.  Red/Blue style was always my favorite because of the way the pokemon would be destorted to fit within the box.

i don't think i used to less, compare this to the orignal here, they don't have much dithering :)

and i used enought space, max size is 56x56  80% of this sprites here are maxed out ;)

That's an interesting idea! I thought of revamping old sprites to fixt them up, but going for that style is a challenge, well pulled off and done!
