Hi Mirko, I must say that I'm flattered you analyzed this piece so thouroughly! You're right, this is not a Moebius strip, I was merely insprired by these concepts and figures, like the works of Escher, and I wanted to create something alike.
It makes me smile you had so much fun with paper!
add. info: i just painted the two faces (sides) of my paper strip distinctivly, and it shows that there is no "unresolved twist", the faces meet perfectly. so actually this isn't like the moebius strip, where you have the kind of twist that turns the whole thing into just one face. no offense, though, I was just curious to figure the picture out so i did some research with paper and scissors :)
I just tried this with some strips of paper and in fact it does work. So it's not exactly a Penrose triangle or something. Nevertheless, I like it :)
Fantastic shading and colour choices - that's a really good metal effect.
Aaagh how does it work I can't even see how that would work.
Man that is some good Escherian mindraping you did there. Great work!
Wow, what great effect! ... At first glance I did not say it is pixel art, rsrs. Very good!
Wow! I'm drooling
