No I beleive I'm quite right, you see, I never said that one can zoom out.
And yeah, pixel pieces like this is best viewed in 1x.
I think you're a bit mistaken on that. The zoom feature will not display things smaller than the actual size they were uploaded as, even if they have a ratio different from 1:1. Also, in some browsers (safari and chrome I've tested), zooming in will blur the image. Firefox seems to do it right without blurring it though. I just thought after reducing the size of this in photoshop by a quarter for both width/height (1/16th actual size overall) that it looked significantly better at 1:1 size.
Pixelart can be displayed at any size one wants to, but on this gallery there's a neat feature called zoom.
Those boxes with - and + in them, you can press them and enlarge the image.
There's actually 57 colors according to this.
A couple of quick notes-
• normally pixel art should be presented in 1:1 ratio, which in this case would be 231x145 pixels, but you're at 1:4 (or is it 4:1?) here which is 924x579 pixels. So you've basically enlarged it to be 4 times wider and taller than normal.
• It's not all that bad when viewed at 1:1, but everything kind of has a gritty texture to it. Seems like there's too many random pixels everywhere.
• A lot of corners on various clumps of pixels are very sharp and don't seem to be carefully controlled. Pixel art should be very finely controlled, down to the level of a single pixel (which is a large part of what makes it pixel art).
• Your sense of form and color isn't too bad either. Of course improvements can be made, but you at least have something already.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. Since I was talking about the idea of making this smaller, and since you replied directly to me, I thought you were saying it could be made smaller with the zoom feature.
