the small one was the original NES sprite, the large one is a revamp for a competition
The big one looks fantastic, I didn't think it was that great when I clicked the preview, cuz the big sprite is 1000 times better than the small one.
eh, i dunno about using the actual sprite as the preview. you could put it beside the one you made in the actual image, then have a disclaimer in the description stating you didn't make the smaller res one. that's what we went with for other submissions to that comp, anyway
edit: i mean using your image as the preview as well :) thanks. sorry for being such a stickler, but there was talk of not even allowing the foreign sprite at all, so not too bad a compromise?
