It reminds me of the cover David Macaulay's book "The Way Things Work," another illustrated reference.
{ Hey, look behind you! A rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle!
Thanks for the kind comment. As I'm new this is much appreciated and I hope you excuse my mistake.
I didn't know you have that strict guidelines. I first posted a version without the background, but the gray is exactly the same as the one I use (in the lava lamp for example) and it blended in with the background.
Also as described, I add noise to get the look I have going for the webpage. It's gausian noise, so it makes the colors random in all directions, yeah.
I'll go back to the original drawings from iPad and reassemble the composition with clean pieces. I'll put a single color background and with all this the color count should be acceptable.
UPDATE: I now resubmited with the unprocessed pieces and chose a new set to go better with the transparent background. I also fitted the title into the 100x100 preview box, but it took some other letters to do it. Hope that's OK. It goes allong the project's idea at least, which is diversity.
This is a very cool project you have. Each individual letter here looks well made too.
The background is definitely not pixel art though, so that kind of disqualifies this unless you remove it. There's 1147 colors here, probably mostly from the background.
Thanks for mentioning this book, epoxy, the new edition looks great! Close to what I want to do one day.
