Black is often too stark for the interiors of sprites, except in areas completely obscured by darkness. the colors are too saturated, and hue shifting could be used to make more interesting palettes. if any of these terms are unfamiliar, I'll have a color section finished in the pixel art tutorial (which is found in the resources/support forum) sometime today.
