At first look, very impressive, but a closer look shows that a lot of polisihing on the technique is needed. The shading looks quite smooth and subtle, and yet it doesn't have the appearance of pillow shading. I also think the fire came out well, but you might want to make it a little bit more abstract, without a defenite center and edge. The red of the fire looks like it's outlining the fire, and it looks a bit unnatural, so you might wanna try some monochromatic fire. For me, when it comes to fire, less is more! Also, though your shading is good, but the large, blank areas on the Flareon look very flat, and you might want to up the contrast a bit or add some more details with the shading.
