Thanks for the advice guys, i wanted to make him quit simplistic though. However i can see where you're coming from. I will do another, smaller piece later on. :)
I notice that there is a white thing on the head. Is that his eye? Also, i see that when the yellow at the bottom covers the orange, why are the thighs' area not afected? You made it look like as if it was transparent.
For a character this size, there is nothing to add and nothing to remove !
Pretty good lineart and I like the character design but the pixel work leaves much to be desired. You should restart this guy on a much smaller canvis, then you can pay attention to the individual pixels and make him look much better with much less work than it would be for a sprite this size.
I guess, i was going for a more cleaner style though, as this kinda ties in with the style i use for my works an another site.
The votes are split on this, so I'm gonna send it back. The reason is not so much quality, as I think it meets the gallery's quality standards. The reason is that, due to the size, it's really quite a different way of creating an image than is the spirit of pixel art. It's a different mode of thinking, if the pixel clusters and their microrelationships aren't decisions important to the quality of the piece, then it's really a way of drawing with pixels that doesn't really fit the mindset of the medium.
