thank you! I liked the way it turned out; I love asymmetry :) I tried removing them, and I felt this one was still better lol, so don't know XD
thank you! I might try that =); I will be making more of these hopefully!
thank you! I tried changing the color (right now it's a super dark red) to match the different parts better, but I still end up liking this more lol
Opposing the others about the black lines, I think they are suited for this image. It has a cartoon style quality about it and the black lines enhance that look.
Wow, the house is really well done. I also wonder if removing the black outlines would make it even better.
Cool vision of whatever you thought when you made it. I think if you outlined the pictures borders with 1x pixel lines, it`d look better and more contained. Otherwise beautiful scenery. I especially love the foliage. Id like to see more of this from you, truly.
Hmm, ok I wasn't aware of that particular rule, I can try to refine it a bit more to make it look more controlled in those areas.
The rescaling thing is easy to fix, so I can change that =) thanks for pointing it out!
I can definitely try out some cast shadows =). Thanks!
the house looks pretty good, though the use of black line could be done away with in a few spots (easy to overuse pure black). some cast shadows by the tree and house would help, right now the light source is pretty confusing. we generally don't allow rescaled previews here, a 1x (or zoomed) sample of the original image is preferable. The sky and grass are rather sloppy, and might prevent this piece from entering the gallery. The uncontrolled, sketchy technique is something we call oekaki (discussed in this section of the PJ tutorial), which is a bit different than pixel art.
I like the style too
