This looks like the little guy from some short-movie. Cant remember name.
Great expression, especially the one coming from the feet. Lovely
Love it!!..He looks so dedicated, this is going in my favs, excellent work!
I really like the character design, but his torso looks really long, and I also think his shirt and pants would be affected by the lighting as well.

Here's an edit, showing what I mean
Love the atmosphere and expression but the clothes look like they could use a bit more depth.
Just picked up the Vedder album. Nice stuff. I've been on an ol' timey kick lately (hence the Cliff Edwards piece). There's a cool documentary about the recent popularity of the ukulele titled, 'The Mighty Uke'.
Entertaining and eductional!
I swear, I had to do a double take when I saw the spoiler.
There's just something charming about this.
I'm madly in love with his face and the lighting on his right arm, the way you've blocked in the forms. The blue backlighting on his left arm looks strangely out of place, though.
Lovin these as well. The kid reminds me a little of Dash. But still nice character design.
Side note: Have you heard the new Eddie Vedder "ukulele songs"?
it's certainly good enough to stand alone, but if it's a WIP, we'd really love to wait that extra bit of time and see it in all its glory!
Love your ukelele series
It does look good as a stand alone image. Is this part of it finished? I think if you're planning on submitting another image that also has this exact image as a large part of it then you should wait until the whole thing is done, to avoid redundancies.
It's hard to find anything about this to make suggestions about. The only thing I'm really seeing is that the shorts basically have no dark shadow. The shirt has a large lightness difference between the highlight on the shoulder and the shadow under the chin, and the skin also has a large difference between the shadow on the fingers and the highlights on the forearm and side of the face, so we know that the lighting in whatever room the character is in does allow for semi-dark shadows and light highlights, but the shorts just have two midtones and no real highlight or shadow.
Aw, sadness...even though it's part of a larger piece (a second character) I figured it looked nice as a stand alone image. I guess I'll have to wait for the praises and critiques.
Haha.. he looks like this kid all grown up http://imgarchive.info/201007/th_454878.jpg
really nice piece... That could be an interesting subject also for vectors.
Btw if this is a WIP you should not submit to the queue...
Nice, cute and marvellous at the same time!
