The ground near by should have some details because it looks unfinished as it is now imo. Even small details can make a big difference.
Some of the perspective is not very believable and the lines are a little harsh but other than that its ver good
Woah!!. ..Now this is a scene!.nice work and great use of colors, especially the darks
This is really great for a second piece of pixelart, knowing your first piece was a small fairy! Definitely don't quit, keep practicing, you'll get there :D I would recommend hiding the palette though.
I think your shading is pretty good for your second pixel art. The overall colors look a bit too dark, though.
Realism wasn't one of my goals while making this, i was planning to make a game where fish fought with bazooka's, so i technically can do whatever i want :P.
And maybe the easter egg was a bit to obvious, i'll try to make it harder next time.
About the angle, i think i didn't noticed that while making the background, i'll look into that.
Thanks for the critique
I applaud your hiding a space invader, but it is a very... obvious easter egg, if that is it.
As for the piece, I find it hard to accept lava flows under water? The pressure, moisture and cool temperature would make it solidify quite quickly.
The ground also seems to be slanted almost vertically towards us. The angle is just... off. I'm afraid I can't be of more help.
And yes, i DO harbour soft feeling towards soft cuddly hamsters
AND i'll grand 20+ internets to the person who finds the easter egg!
@Smilecythe
True, i wanted to move on, so i didn't spend enough time on the ground, but since its my second work, i believed it was good enough :P
next time i'll try to be less sloppy.
