I don't think the color used to aa the orange to the green is working, but other than that, I think that extra layer of polish made a huge difference for this piece.

when you're working abstract, in order for it not to feel (tbh) lazy, I think you have to invest extra time in the formal elements. By which I mean the pixel clusters should be optimized, and making it smooth as butter with AA. The colors could probably use a little tweaking as well. all those jaggies really destroy the quality of this piece, though. And without aa, you're going to have those glaring jaggies when you're using such contrasting colors against one another.
