Very heavily inspired by Zelda Minish Cap. You can see the direct inspiration here:

vgmaps.com/Atlas/GBA/LegendOfZelda-MinishCap-CaveOfFlames.png

I wouldn't say this is completely finished. I started it yesterday, but it has no actual purpose so I don't know how much more I'd ever add on to it.

You can see the tileset itself here: i.imgur.com/pDsMX.png

Tiles could probably be more efficiently placed, I'm sure there are lots of duplicates, but since this isn't for any actual purpose I don't see the harm.

The inspiration shows. You got the style down well. Looks great.

Nice, at first I thought these were stolen until I looked up the name of the person on graal lol... It's you :P

All very nice, but I dont like the look of the pots - they look like they could be improved. Apart from that its great.

Epic shit!

 Love it, this SCREAMS "Zelda".

user
Dusty (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 6/13/2011 09:57

Well it was sort of my intention to have it a bit monochromic because of the setting. Though I did change the colors of the vases to brown, they were originally a dull green color. Other than that I don't see what I could do to break up the monotony given that it's mostly all dirt and rocks.

Splendid! I love the colors!

This is awesomely awesome in many respects, but unfortunately perspective inconsistencies make the volumes and levels hard to read.

Very good rendering on some parts like rocks and wood, but the pots look like flat drawings. Also there should be more hue shifts and overall color variety. Most of the pic is so monochrome that flames and spikes seem a almost out of place.

*drool* you're that good.

user
slym (Level 8 Rear Admiral) @ 6/11/2011 14:29

I loved that game! Looks very similar, except that your walls are more interesting =D

Sambo (Level 1 Rookie) @ 6/11/2011 10:57

the jars could use some shading and the fire is too blocky but excellent overall

 I really love it!

Sweet! One thing I felt odd was the higher outer walls. Perhaps they should be less detailed?

Love it Love it Love it

Not surprisingly the vases, torches, and spikes were all old pieces of work I had laying around and simply added in to make the scene look a bit more lively.

I immediately thought of Zelda when I saw this. Nice.

It's really wonderful; the only thing I think needs work is the fire and the spikes.  Everything else is so monochromatic that the fire and the spikes look like they're punching through a fog.

The pottery could use some shading, other than that, it's awesome ^^

Ah, ok, Neat tiles. :)

Dusty (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 6/9/2011 21:24

Just made it out of boredom, and because I've been playing Minish Cap a lot lately.

Nice, almost like the real thing!

Or is it the real thing?!

user
Dusty (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 6/9/2011 16:45

Fire is animated, but a waste in my opinion to work into a mockup image like this.
