This was the end-version of the main character sprite for the Hangover II promotional movie launch game, Crouching Monkey Hidden Chow. He underwent several iterations, probably at least 10 - some very detailed, some VERY blocky, and even had half of his sheets done at twice this resolution and color depth, but this was the middle-of-the road version that was eventually decided upon for use as it was simple looking to keep the pixelly look they wanted, but not so undetailed so that he was still discernable. This animation is a merge of a bunch of his animation states: walk cycle - jump - jumpkick - crushed - idle - kick - punch - electrocuted - faint/death - burning death - electrocuted death - being hit Here are some of the higher resolution states, the rest of the states weren't punched together because a call to change styles came up. © Warner Bros. 2011 Quick link for those with an iPhone, iPod, or iPad - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/monkey-vs-chow/id438497480?mt=8 it is available for free in the iTunes store.

Actually, I got it to work somehow. it's a surprisingly entertaining game, I'm stuck trying to kill the monkey right now, hehe. Did you make the backgrounds as well or was another artist hired for that? Just curious.

Yeah, I wish they would have hosted it another way, because half of the time the facebook age verification thing wouldn't actually register for me after a couple of weeks. It's in the iTunes store for free, though, if you have any means to run apps from that!

ugh, I really wanted to try out this game, but no matter how many times I log in with Facebook it doesn't seem to register that I am older than 17. Oh well, maybe my privacy settings are just really badass or something.
