Nice pose and very crisp style.
I'd like to see a couple of different poses / weapons / animations on this one.
Your right, he is rather flat in terms of personality / character.
The shirt is imho a lot of space where you could try something more interesting

He looks great, lots of character in him with that pose. The legs are a little wonky but they don't ruin him.
