 I've played a bit with the palette from the 'smoking cat' challenge. I was trying to:

-visually separate background layer from the platforms

-try and make some damned sprites already!

(I think I'll work on this some more, add stuff and make more mockups, but for now it looks kinda clean so I submitted it as is :)

pretty fucking amazing. red and blue are great to play around with, and the tiles are visually interesting.

what i appreciate the most in your work is the way it looks like you use a very small tileset to build your pieces.

my only niggle would be to differentiate the enemies and character from both the background and the tiles.
