Eh. I haven't pixeled in forever, so I thought I would try and give this a shot, albeit I don't think this piece is very good. Anyway, this should be 8 colors; if it isn't then someone please tell me and I'll change it, lol.

 Exactly 8 indeed. The stuff surrounding the face would be smoke I assume? It is not so readible, and I wonder what the source is!
