We've just finished this illustration to celebrate second municipal occasion in Saint-Petersburg - the day of Fedor Mihailovich Dostoyevsky.

We hid 16 works of russian classic literature here. Obviously it's hard to find them all even for people who is good at the issue. If this challenge is not for you than consider it to be an illustration of Saint-Petersburg (Russia) in XIX century.

The pic is mostly done by my partner pixel-artist @WeaslyGrizzly.

Just read the English translations of 'Crime and Punishment' and 'Lessons From the Underground'.. both favorites of mine now; mostly the 1st. Roskolnikov was someone you can really relate too.. or I could.

cure (Level 11 Pixellite) @ 7/11/2011 23:39

colors seem to be a touchy topic to get critique on. although carnivac didn't say anything about color count that I can see. why the harsh words?

user
Balamoot (Level 10 Maniac) @ 7/10/2011 02:57

@ptoing: Thanks, I see what you mean.

user
Carnivac (Level 8 Behemoth) @ 7/9/2011 23:54

Well that was real mature, idiot...

user
ptoing (Level 7 Cuttlefish) @ 7/9/2011 14:45

No, not every iso = eboy. The iso pieces miascugh or Fool die are a lot better tho imo. This is quite eboy in that it has a lot of plasticy corner highlights and whatnot. Still a lot better than eboy, but it looks at least eboy inspired (tho your people look tons better.)

user
SatTheArtist (Level 1 Rookie) @ 7/9/2011 14:13

Flows so well... amazing job!

user
Balamoot (Level 10 Maniac) @ 7/9/2011 11:59

@Mis-Bug: Choo-choo! ))

user
Balamoot (Level 10 Maniac) @ 7/9/2011 11:58

@ptoing: no eboy here at all (or every iso for you is the eboy style?).

@Carnivac: What transparent details you meant.

user
ptoing (Level 7 Cuttlefish) @ 7/9/2011 08:45

Afaik, some transparency on big iso scenes is allowed. Also, this has over 1400 colours ;)

It's nicely done, not really my cup of tea tho, I like less plastic/eboy kinda iso.

user
Carnivac (Level 8 Behemoth) @ 7/9/2011 04:26

Are we allowing transparency now?

user
Mis-BUG (Level 9 Bio Mutant) @ 7/7/2011 08:12
