Forget about something "real". What's more real? The figurative or the abstract? are feelings less real than what you can touch, or distinguish as a foreground and background?
But you should keep working on your composition, it's not really interesting. It has a lot of empty space that doesn't seem to be there for a reason.
Also, perhaps you should explore more the aesthetic posibilities (or restrictions) that the pixel art gives.
Anyway, good luck.
Your feelings look like rainbow sherbet and I want to eat them.
Also the composition is pretty well balanced.
How about making something real? (and then I do not mean 'real' as in with coins or something, but real as in that you pushed your creativity and (pixel) art skill). Block is no excuse. Why not take that rotating head and turn it into something good? Or take a real break.
AA is a bit heavy - becomes banding between pink and yellow bits expecially.
i think this was a piece just to work on AA
